Dear Mr. Riordan, You may or may not know this, but there is such a thing as alienating your audience. In more simple terms, it is sometimes called trolling. For you specifically, it is the horrible act of leaving your readers so desperate for literature-sustenance that they actually begin to hate you for your cliff hangers.
